TRITON & NEKTON Expedition to the Midnight Zone
This year, Triton Submarines and Nekton, will dive 4,000m into the Midnight Zone, where light can barely penetrate but where life still thrives. Their Mission: to observe the effects of Climate Change in this, as yet, unexplored area.
Working with the Seychelles and Maldives governments, the five-week expedition is targeting seamounts – vast underwater mountains that rise thousands of metres from the seafloor.
