It is significant that the first public demonstration dives of the Triton 1650/3 LP submersible were held here in Europe. With the opening last week of our EMEA Service Centre in Barcelona, the collaboration we announced at the Monaco Yacht Show, and now these groundbreaking
dives in the Balearics, Triton continues to demonstrate our commitment to the region and to pushing the boundaries of what people expect from a luxury, personal submersible.

Patrick Lahey, President, Triton Submarines

The dives were supported by Triton’s strategic partners Damen Shipyards and its latest Yacht Support vessel, the 55-meter “New Frontiers”. With its large 190 square-meter Main Deck, New Frontiers carries submersibles and dive support tenders while accommodating dive crew and submersible pilots. To launch and retrieve the submersibles, the crew used the high performance 12-ton deck crane. New Frontiers proved to be the perfect vessel from which to conduct back-to-back submersible dives while simultaneously welcoming a large number of invited guests via luxury tender transfers. The fully serviced guest lounge and accommodation ensured a seamless luxury experience.

Submersible operations have been a core specification for almost all the Yacht Support vessels we have delivered. All around the world adventurous owners use their Yacht Support vessels for both superyacht support and dive site prep, weekend dive excursions as well as charter operations. New Frontiers takes it step further, blending support functions with standalone owner and guest accommodation – it’s the perfect platform for unforgettable luxury submersible adventures.
Mark Vermeulen, Product Director, Damen Yacht Suport

Technical support for the submersible was provided by Triton’s newly opened EMEA Service Centre in Barcelona, Spain. The facility at OneOcean Port Vell provides customer in Europe, Middle East and Africa with an even greater level of timely support from Triton’s team of submersible experts.

Also in attendance were representatives from Triton’s technology, design and engineering partners Aston Martin, with whom the company is currently developing a new high-performance and ultra-luxurious submersible codenamed Project Neptune. Project Neptune shares a platform with the Triton 1650/3 LP and the dives provided Aston Martin and Triton designers and engineers the opportunity to advance the Project Neptune.

Triton and Damen will be exhibiting at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in Florida, November 1-5. Triton’s 1650/3 LP superyacht-submersible will be on show at the Exotic Cars Display, stand no.1417b. A second Triton 1650/3 LP will be onboard Damen’s Yacht Support vessel, New Frontiers at “Superyacht Life” berth one. Finally, a Triton 3300/3 MKII submersible will be positioned onboard Damen vessel Axis at the Hilton Marina Dock, berth three.
