Based on a proven stabilized-mono-hull vessel form, this vessel provides a submarine support platform unrivalled by any current vessel. The hull configuration combines extremely low resistance with exceptional seekeeping and motion. The trimaran form gives a large aft deck area with a large configurable forward accommodation area.

The hull form allows the vessel to be configured for either high efficiency moderate speed operation or very high maximum speeds. Propulsion options included conventional diesel on shaft or diesel-electric systems, both driving twin controllable pitch propellers.

The trimaran configuration lends itself to ready implementation of a dynamic positioning system, vital for deep-sea submarine operations. The retractable A-frame launching system, tailored for the Triton 36000/ 3, also provides a secure and effective LARS, minimising possible damage to the submarine. Permanent, below decks storage solution is also a feature of the vessel.

A retracting hydraulic crane, allowing the easiy handling of tenders, other submarines or accommodation modules, services the large aft deck. The aft deck and t ransom design can be tailored to meet specific client requirements for access and load handling. Helicopter landing areas are shown on both the bow and owner’s deck aft. A helo hangar is located in the bow or this area could be used as a tender garage.
