Global Oceans (www.global-oceans.org)

The continuing challenge faced by ocean scientists of finding suitable and timely access to oceanographic research ships, on-board labs, submersibles and operational support seriously limits their ability to conduct research at sea, especially in remote and understudied regions. Working with its commercial partners and the ocean science community around the world, Global Oceans assembles and manages mission-specific charters of ships, mobile labs and equipment for scientific expeditions. Triton’s partnership with Global Oceans is a vital part of this effort to gain a better understanding of the biodiversity and health of our oceans and to explore the furthest reaches of our planet.
